What's happening with the Chemmani excavations?
Four stages have been completed, and the skeletal remains of 141 of the 147 persons discovered have now been unearthed from the Chemmani mass grave.
Excavations were temporarily paused on August 6th to inspect the location for more skeletal remains using a scanner and present scientific results to the court. The report on the scanned part has been presented to the court.
The excavation of the Chemmani mass grave's 5th phase is set to commence on August 22, 2025.
